Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser-  I told the lady at Sephora that I needed a new cleanser that wasn’t super expensive and she immediately ran over to this. The full-size bottle is $30 but I bought this travel size for $10. This cleanser has a gel consistency which I love and it warms up once you start rubbing it on your face. So far I am loving it and I think I am going to end up buying the full size. You can check it out here.

Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara- This was an impulse buy in the Ulta check-out lane but I ended up loving it. It curls my lashes and keeps them curled throughout the day. This is $8 at Ulta.

NYX Duochromatic highlighters- I have the shades snow rose and twilight tint. Snow rose has a pinky shift and twilight tint has a blue shift. I have been wanting to try some funky colored highlighters and I have loved these. I think next I want to get the Kat Von D alchemist palette. If you want to check out these NYX highlighters you can click here.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Detox Scrub- This smells so good! To me, it honestly smells like Coca-Cola. I also think this scrub has been helping my body acne. I bought this at Target.

Super Cola Candy- These are kind of like a warhead. They start off sour but then it’s a sweet cola candy. I have been eating these so much. I found them at world market.

Mid-2017 Empties

Mid-2017 Empties

Suave Moroccan Infusion Color Safe Shampoo

-It seemed to work fine for my colored hair. But I wanted it to make my hair softer and it didn’t. I would not repurchase

Harry’s Razors

-I saw these at Target and I fell in love with the packaging. Also, you can buy 4 razor blade refills for only $8. With my Venus razors I can pay like $15 for 3. So far I like the razors but I feel like the rust easy so I remove them from the shower each time. I already have repurchased.

OGX Sea Mineral Moisture Conditioner

– It kind of made my hair drier. Would not repurchase

Crest 2 Step whitening system

– I didn’t really notice a difference and just seemed like a hassle with the two parts. Would not repurchase.

Lush Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask

-I really enjoyed this face mask. I like the way it made my face feel and I liked the exfoliant in it. I would repurchase.

Covergirl Tru Blend Primer for Combo Skin

-This didn’t really seem to work as a primer. It was just kind of a moisturizer. I did repurchase because they were on sale at Ulta. I thought I would give it another go.

Pam Coconut Cooking Oil

-I was so happy to see this in the store. It’s great that there is now coconut oil spray instead of the other oils. I did repurchase.

Pixi Glow Tonic

– There was not much of a difference in my skin with this. I also didn’t feel like $15 was worth it for this bottle. I would not repurchase.

E.L.F. Blemish Control Face Primer

-This did not help my blemishes and for some reason my makeup did not sit well on top of it.

Victoria Secret Bombshell Perfume

-I actually really enjoyed this scent. I would repurchase.

Lush Ocean Salt Body Scrub

-This is my absolute favorite thing from Lush. I love the smell of it and it does make my skin feel good. I can’t use this on my face because it’s a little too rough for me. I would repurchase.

The Balm Mad Lash Mascara

-I really liked this mascara. I have tried a high-end mascara that I liked enough to actually spend the money on but I would repurchase this.

Tarte Maracuja Oil

-I did enjoy this oil and I got another on in an ipsy. I don’t think I would repurchase because it’s a little pricey for me right now. I think I’m going to try some other oils first.

Essence Make Me Brow

-This is so great for getting brows done fast. I would repurchase.

Essence No Redness Color Correcting Concealer

-This did cover up my redness well but moved around once I put foundation on. I would not repurchase.

NYX Matte Liquid Liner

-This was a pretty good liner. I found it hard to control though. I might repurchase.

Maycoop Raw Sauce

-I still have no idea what this is supposed to do. I can honestly say that I did notice a difference in my skin when I used it. My skin looked healthier.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

-This concealer disappointed me. It concealed but not that great. It also creased really bad. I’m glad I just purchased a travel size and not a full size. I would not repurchase.

Benefit Porefessional Primer

-I enjoyed this primer. My makeup sat well on top of it and it did actually help my pores look smaller. I would repurchase.

Trust Fund Beauty Gimme Good Face primer

-I did not like this primer. It made my face feel slippery and gross. I would not repurchase.

Mid 2016 Empties

Mid 2016 Empties

When I am on YouTube I love watching empty product videos. So I thought, ” Why don’t I do something like that?” This post is all the empty products that I have finished this point in the 2016 year.

mid 2016 emptiesBiore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser

This is the liquid version of the baking soda face cleansers. I also have the powder one and I don’t really know what the difference is supposed to be between these two products. The liquid version actually really dried out my skin but the powder version hasn’t. I think this could be because the liquid version has sulfate in it. I will not be repurchasing this.

Maybelline Master Hi-Light Highlighting Bronzer

I bought this when I was first diving into the world of bronzers. It wasn’t just a straight bronzer color. It had colors of pink and highlighting colors included in it. This is really great if you don’t want to actually apply bronzer, blush, and highlight. You can just put this on with one swipe and it’s a great alternative to that. I would repurchase this product.

Ulta Matte Primer

How come nobody talks about Ulta’s line of makeup? They have some great products in their line with this being one of them. One thing that I love about this is that it has salicylic acid which is good for acne. The formula is kind of a gel formula which is something that I don’t particularly like but it makes my foundation stay on all day. I will be repurchasing this.

Ulta Amped Lashes

This mascara is supposed to give you really amped lashes which it does do. However, this product is clumpy and smudges under my eyes by the end of the day. I would not repurchase this.

Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment

I got this in a set with the maracuja oil which I just featured in my favorites. This eye cream is not something that I like. First off, it is really pricey. Second of all, I did not see a difference in my eyes at all. I will not be repurchasing. Let me know if you guys have an eye cream that you like because I am on the hunt for one that really works.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water

This is actually already a repurchase but I haven’t mentioned it in a while. This is great for keeping my oil at bay throughout the day. If you have oily skin you need to try this toner. I also love that it’s in a spray bottle so I don’t have to get out a cotton pad. I will be repurchasing again.

93,000 Miles and Whoosh Shower Jellies

I’m grouping these two products together because they’re both shower jellies but different scents. The Lush shower jellies are so much fun and everybody needs one of these in their life. Both of these scents are great and I would repurchase both. I want to try all the scents so I think I’m going to get the pine and needle scent next.

Garnier Micellar Water

Micellar water is an amazing way to remove makeup. It takes off makeup with no problem. This does leave an oily residue but I always wash my face after so I kind of ignore that. I have already repurchased this and I still love it.

Bath and Body Works Wild Apple Daffodil

There isn’t much to say about this lotion. I think everybody pretty much knows that the bath and body works lotions are pretty good lotions. Their normal lotions are all pretty much the same lotion just in different scents. I would not repurchase this scent again, though. It was pretty boring in my opinion. Their pink lemonade scent is my favorite right now.

My (small) Lipstick Collection

My (small) Lipstick Collection

I just recently got into loving lipstick a few years ago. It’s amazing what putting on some lipstick can do. When I wear lipstick, I feel so empowered. So over the past few years, I have been buying lipstick and I wear it a couple times a week. My lipstick collection is still pretty small right now, but I’ll update it every once in a while when I get more. Let me know what your favorite lipstick is so I can try it out.

  1. NYX Extra Creamy Lipstick in shade Snow White- This is probably my favorite lipstick that I own. It has great wearability and is an amazing shade of red. It’s a blue toned red which in my opinion is the best type of red. I got this at Target for around $4.
  2. Ulta Matte Lipstick in shade 251- I tried to look this up on Ulta’s website to find the actual shade name but I don’t think they sell it anymore. This color is a nice rose color with some shimmer. This lipstick also stays on for a pretty great amount of time. I think this was around $8.
  3. Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in shade Smitten- This is a great deep pink that is also very hydrating for the lips. Both of the Revlon products I’m talking about stay on pretty much the whole day. These lipsticks even pass the burrito test. I bought this at Walmart for around $7.
  4. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in shade Sultry- I just did a post about this lipstick so I won’t say much about it on this post. If you want to read about this lipstick, you can click here.
  5. Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in shade Blissful Berry- I was kind of disappointed in the color of this lipstick because it isn’t as dark as you would think it would be. The color is very sheer but it is still a great color regardless. This has an ok length of wearability. I got this at Walmart for around $8
  6. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in shade Melted Nude- I had really high expectations because I’ve heard so many people talk about them. I like this shade because it is a nice nude. These lipsticks rub off so easily. They do not stay on well. I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore unless I can figure out how to make it stay on longer. I got this at Ulta for $21.
  7. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in shade Melted Villain- I love this color but it’s the same as what I said above.
  8. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in shade Turn On- This color is a really bright pink and is so creamy. The wearability is pretty good but not as good as some of the others I have. It’s really hydrating on the lips also. The original price of this lipstick is $22 but they’re all on sale for 50% off right now. I got mine at Sephora for $11.
Drugstore Update!

Drugstore Update!

Two weeks ago I bought a few new products at walgreens and if you want to check that post out you can click here. I have been using these products every single time I do my makeup. So I am going to go through each product and what I thought of it.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Contouring Palette

I really liked this product. I’m super new to contouring so if anything went wrong, it was my fault. Both of the shades are pretty creamy and don’t get cakey at all. The highlighter is actually really good for setting concealer. For the small price this product is totally worth it.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush

This blush is so PINK! The shade I picked was pearlescent pink but I didn’t expect it to actually be so pink when I put it on. The tiniest amount is need for this blush and it stays on all day. I found this to be really blendable, so if I put on a little too much, it turned out ok.

Covergirl Trublend Face Primer

I love this face primer! One of the best things about it is that it’s for combination skin so it really helps to keep my face matte all day. I also found that it works nice as a lip primer. One downside is that it smells like baby wipes but I can look past that.

Covergirl Trublend Fixstick Concealer

This concealer is pretty good and I’ll continue to use it. It smells waxy and feels waxy but it doesn’t feel heavy or gross. I really like this for under my eyes except that it really settles into my lines. It is so blendable, which is so important to me. I think I’m going to try putting a little extra primer under my eyes to see if that helps.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Pencil

Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with this. When I first put it on I was so excited because it goes on so smoothly. After only an hour it had transferred to the top of my lid. So then I tried putting eye primer underneath, and it transferred a little less but still transferred. I can’t figure out how to make it stop. Let me know if I’m doing something wrong?

Also, let me know if you have tried any of these and what you thought of them.

New Drugstore Products

New Drugstore Products

I am the type of person who does not change her routine. I find a product I like and I stick with it. Because I am still new to makeup and trying to use new things, I decided to go buy some new products and try them. All of these products are from Walgreens and all of them are pretty new to the drugstore except the concealer. I have not actually tried the products out yet. This post is just going to tell you about these products and then I will do a follow up post of my reviews.

First two products I got are from Wet n Wild. They have come out with a lot of cool new stuff. I picked up the MegaGlo contouring palette in the shade dulce de leche. I’ve heard good things about this on YouTube. The website just claims to give you blendable, buildable color. The next thing I picked up is the color icon blush in pearlescent pink. I have never tried the color icon blushes before but this says that it’s a new formula. This color might be a bit pink for me but we’re just going to go for it. The website not only claims that this also has blendable, buildable color but it’s also supposed to be long lasting. I got the contouring palette for 4.99 and the blush for 2.99.

The next two products I picked up are from Covergirl. I first picked up the trublend makeup primer for combination skin. They also have this primer for oily and dry skin. The combo skin primer is meant to “have a balancing formula that creates a smooth surface for perfect foundation application.” Just like any primer they claim that this is supposed to make the foundation last longer. Next, I picked up the trublend fixstick concealer in the shade light. The website claims that this will cover up dark circles and imperfections. It also claims to be very blendable. We’ll see if it’s a match for my gnarly dark circles. I got the primer for 9.99 and the concealer for 9.49.

The last product I picked up is the Maybelline eyestudio lasting drama waterproof gel pencil in sleek onyx. Honestly, I’m surprised that I picked this up because I hate having to sharpen eyeliner pencils. Looking online a lot of people have said that it is impossible to sharpen. Also the website claims that this eyeliner should last for 16 hours and is waterproof. I got this for 8.29. So I am going to try out all these products and make a post later with my reviews. Let me know if you have tried any of these out.
