Hello, everybody! I hope your week was great and ended well. I’m going to talk about this eyeshadow palette that I have been loving! Is it just me, or have people not really been talking about the cover shot palettes? When Smashbox released these 7 palettes I expected to see a lot of reviews or hear a lot about them. To be honest, I don’t feel like they’ve been talked about really. I decided to pick one up because they’re only $30, which I personally feel is not too bad. There are 8 shadows so it’s about $3.75 per shadow. All the palettes have a moving picture cover. So the powder on the lid looks like it’s being thrown.
What really drew me to this palette was the green color, STFU. Feature, instinct, and slayer are the matte shades in the palette. They feel creamy and aren’t very chalky. Feature definitely can get really powdery when using it but the other two don’t. The rest of the shades are shimmery and don’t seem to have a lot of fall out. I have not got to use big night very much. Honestly, I find the colors easy to work with and they blend easily. I really would like to get some other palettes in the collection. I have not heard the best reviews about the matte palette. I think the next one I’m going to get is the ablaze palette. Let me know if you guys have tried any of the palettes in the collection and if you like it. I hope this next week is amazing for everybody and I will see you Tuesday!

Hello, Everybody! How is your February going? Taxes came in so that means that I had a mini treat yo’ self day. I don’t really get to buy high-end products often because I’m on a tight college budget, but I allowed myself to splurge a little. I picked up a few things that were on my wishlist and I’m currently loving everything! I will do more in-depth posts about each product but these are just my first impressions. Let me know if you guys have tried any of these products, and what you think of them.
Smashbox Cover Shot: Smoky- This was the first thing that I for sure knew I was going to buy. There are 8 different palettes within the Cover Shot line. I picked up the smoky one because there’s a green shade that I love in it. These eyeshadows are great! I don’t really hear much about these palettes but I would say they are worth it. It comes with 8 shades: 2 big bases and 6 smaller shades. The base colors are a little chalky but overall good. I want to get a couple more of these palettes. This was $29 at Sephora.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Peach Oil Lipgloss- I don’t normally like lipgloss but I have been wanting to branch out of my comfort zone. I am very happy with this purchase. There’s a lot of people who don’t like the artificial peach smell but I don’t mind it. I think this would be really great over nude lipsticks because it’s not super pigmented. I have the shade pure peach but I really want papa don’t peach. This was $19 at Sephora.
Benefit Cheek and Lip Stain Trio- These really aren’t talked about anymore but I really wanted to try them. This is honestly a great deal too. Each bottle is 4 mL, which means you get 12 mL in total for $18. A full-size bottle is $30 and you get 12.5mL. So for $10 less you get almost the same amount of product with a bigger variety. Of course, if you don’t like one of the colors then it isn’t worth it. I like all of the colors, and I feel like I’m not going to go through these very fast. I think they also have a trio like this for their liquid highlighters. If you want to check out the tint trio it is at Ulta.
Tarteist Pro Glow To Go- This is such a perfect trio for traveling. I do want the full-size Pro Glow but I just went with the smaller size for now. You get a contour shade and 2 highlights. I have only tried it once but I enjoy all three. The contour looks really warm toned in the pan but looked more cool toned on my face. I got this for $23 at Ulta.

Sprayway glass cleaner
This is not a new product in my life at all but I just remembered how much I love this cleaning product. Do not buy Windex or any of those other window cleaners. This is literally (Chris Traeger voice) the best glass cleaning product of all time. You can buy this pretty much anywhere.
Wet N Wild Contouring Palette
I reviewed this a while back in a drugstore review. I got this at Walgreens for around $4 and it is seriously awesome. First off, you get a lot of product and it lasts all day. The contour shade is great for my skin tone. The highlight shade isn’t really much of a highlight but it is great for setting my undereye concealer.
Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow
My last post was a review of this product and I love it. If I wasn’t trying to branch out on my makeup collection then I would go buy this in every color. This has amazing pigmentation and lasts forever. This shade of green is also a very wearable shade to incorporate into every day.
Tarte Maracuja Oil
I bought this a while ago but I didn’t really see a difference when using it. For some reason, my skin was very dry this month so I pulled this out. This was so good for my skin. It basically fixed my dry skin. I don’t think I’m going to use this every day and just pull it out when I need it.
The Good Girl by Mary Kubica
This book is about a girl who is kidnapped. The story is told from the mother’s, the detective’s, and the kidnapper’s point of view. I love books that are told from different character’s perspective. I also like short chapters which is kind of weird. There’s honestly no explanation for why I like short chapters but this book has those. I haven’t finished it yet but I will write a review when I am done.
I have seen so many people talk about the Loreal infallible eyeshadows so I decided to pick one up. All of the colors in the line are shimmery which is kind of disappointing. I wish there were some matte shades because I need more matte eyeshadows. The color I picked up is called golden emerald and it was 6.99 at Target. It’s a really nice deep green color with gold shimmers in it. The color is amazing and I’ve kind of fallen in love with it. Loreal claims this eyeshadow “has intense maximized color, luxurious powder-cream texture, waterproof, crease resistant, and fade resistant.” First off, this eyeshadow does have amazing pigmentation. The color is so rich. When I first touched the eyeshadow, I did notice how creamy and soft it was. I wanted to keep touching but I did not want to waste it. I have not tested if it is waterproof but it for sure does not crease or fade. One thing I did notice was quite a bit of fallout underneath my eyes. I don’t know what causes that. It could be my brush or the way I’m applying it. I did do a wet and dry swatch and the wet swatch is on the left side. There’s not much of a difference between the two, except it is a little darker when wet. I give this eyeshadow a 10 out of 10 and you should go buy some. If you wanna check out Loreal’s full-color range you can click here. Let me know if you guys have a certain color that you like so I can go buy it. Have an amazing day!
