I’ve just recently started getting really into highlighter and bronzer. I saw these two highlighters when I was in target and thought they looked really nice. They are called the Essence Soo Glow! cream to powder highlighter. Cream to powder products blow my mind every time. This highlighter comes in two shades. The first one is look on the bright side which is a champagne color. The other one is called bright up your life which is a pink rose color. I really enjoy these highlighters. If you are going to put powder on your face, you have to put these on before. These do not apply well on top of a powder. They don’t apply smoothly and the break apart. I think they can apply differently on different foundations also. Sometimes I like to apply these on bare skin if I don’t really feel like wearing makeup. I find the best way to apply them is just with my fingers. You can also really build these up if you like an intense glow. That’s really all there is to say about these. I totally recommend picking these up. They are only $3.50 at Target. Let me know if you have tried these before and what you think about them.
Gray (or grey?) Lace Up Shirt- I have been wanting a shirt like this because I really like this trend. All the shirts I kept finding went really low in the bust area. I wanted a shirt in this style that didn’t show a lot of cleavage. This shirt is perfect. I found this at Kohls for around $10. I have been loving this on me. By the way, how do you guys spell gray or grey?
Green Fuzzy Shorts- My mom got me a pajama set for Christmas. It came with a shirt, a long pair of pants, and these shorts. I was thrown off by the fabric of the shorts because they’re fuzzy. I love them! They are so comfy. I’m not quite sure where my mom got these shorts.
Essence Soo Glow Highlighter- This a cream to powder highlighter which is pretty cool. This is in the shade bright up your life, which is a light pink shade. These apply really nicely and I did end up buying the other shade. A review will be coming on those soon. You can check these out on target’s website.
Covergirl truBlend Fixstick Concealer- I honestly hate this as a concealer. I feel like this doesn’t sit on makeup well. It might sit well under makeup but I have not really tried that. Recently I’ve realized that I love this as a light foundation. I’ll draw some lines on my face with this and blend it out with a brush. It honestly makes my skin look really nice. I got this at Walgreens for $8.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone- I’ve already read this book and seen all the movies. Lately, I have been in such a mood to read Harry Potter. I also don’t own any of the books. I decided to reread the series and purchase the books as I read them. I have only read through the 4th book so I hope to actually read through the whole series this time. Also, this cover is a special cover they sell at Barnes and Noble. When all the books are next to each other on the shelf the binding makes a picture.
Favorite Show- Series of Unfortunate Events
Favorite Song- Weekend by Louis the Child and Icona Pop
This is a very late post, but I forgot that I had these products hidden away. I do not really go through a lot of products, but here’s what I went through in the last half of 2016.
Neutrogena body clear body wash- Let’s be honest we all get body acne from time to time. It happens to be a problem I deal with and I feel like this worked very well for that.
- Would I rebuy? Already have
Pantene 3 minute miracle conditioner- This is supposed to be like a daily hair mask for your hair. Honestly, I didn’t really notice a difference from normal conditioner.
Revlon colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin- I really liked this foundation. The shade was good for me and it sat nicely on my skin. I also happen to enjoy that there is SPF in this.
- Would I rebuy? Yes, I want to go repurchase this.
Suave Keratin dry shampoo- I did not like this dry shampoo. It really didn’t feel like it did anything for my hair.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, repair hair mask- I received this in an ipsy bag, so this is a sample. Honestly, I don’t feel like I used this enough to form an actual opinion on it. I watch a person on YouTube who raves about this.
Essence say no to dark circle- This is the very first color corrector that I have tried. I think it works ok. I want to try other color correctors but this one is only $3.
- Would I rebuy? already have
Pure Brazilian miracle leave-in conditioner- I really liked this on my hair! I love spray this on my ends to help with frizziness. I want to try other leave-in conditioners to see what else I like.
Urban Decay perversion mascara- This was another product I received in an Ipsy bag. I love receiving sample mascaras because It gives me the chance to try them. This mascara didn’t really have anything special to me. It just seemed like a normal mascara.
Covergirl supersizer mascara- Honestly, I only bought this because it had star wars packaging. I was really surprised by the wand the first time I used it. It was a decent mascara and surprised me.
- Would I rebuy? Probably, but I want to try different ones.
Throughout December I decided to pick up drugstore items that I had been wanting to try. I would pick up one thing, and then a week later go back and pick up a few more things. So I’ve tried everything out and want to do a mini review on each product. Let me know of any products that you guys love so I can try it.
E.L.F HD powder in soft luminance- I briefly talked about this in my December favorites which you can check out here. I think this powder is really nice. Lately, my face has been looking really cakey with makeup on. I thought it was this powder at first. This morning all I put on was some concealer and then the powder on top, and it didn’t look cakey. The cakey look must be coming from my foundations. They’re both pretty old so I don’t know if that happens. Also, my skin has been pretty irritated lately.
E.L.F exfoliating stick- I have a couple lip scrubs in pots that I don’t really like. I feel like I can’t get a good exfoliation with them. I like this stick because it’s mess free and really easy to use. I got the scent in sweet cherry, but it smells like nothing.
E.L.F. HD lifting concealer- This concealer is nice but it isn’t really anything special. I have it in the shade light but it is not light enough. It ends up looking ok on the skin once blended out. The only shades they have are fair, light, and medium. Not the best color range.
NYX suede lip liner- I have the NYX liquid suede lipstick in brooklyn thorn which is a gray/purple color. NYX is one of the only makeup companies that actually has lip liners that match and have the same names as their lipsticks. I just wish this was a twist up pencil.
NYX HD blush in bitten- I also mentioned this in my December favorites. I love this blush and I want more colors. This is a nice brick red color and I totally recommend it.
Essence pure nude highlighter- This is a really nice natural highlight. It is a bit too dark for me and pretty much blends in. Even though it blends in there is some of a glow there. Right now I’m having a love-hate relationship with this highlighter.
Rimmel lip liner in red diva- Believe it or not, this is my very first lip liner ever! I used to not really ever see the point of lip liners. Then I realized how bad I am at putting on lipstick. It can be hard to put it on clean. The lip liner really helps. I started off with a plain red one because I have a couple red lipsticks.
