Gray (or grey?) Lace Up Shirt- I have been wanting a shirt like this because I really like this trend. All the shirts I kept finding went really low in the bust area. I wanted a shirt in this style that didn’t show a lot of cleavage. This shirt is perfect. I found this at Kohls for around $10. I have been loving this on me. By the way, how do you guys spell gray or grey?

Green Fuzzy Shorts- My mom got me a pajama set for Christmas. It came with a shirt, a long pair of pants, and these shorts. I was thrown off by the fabric of the shorts because they’re fuzzy. I love them! They are so comfy. I’m not quite sure where my mom got these shorts.

Essence Soo Glow Highlighter- This a cream to powder highlighter which is pretty cool. This is in the shade bright up your life, which is a light pink shade. These apply really nicely and I did end up buying the other shade. A review will be coming on those soon. You can check these out on target’s website.

Covergirl truBlend Fixstick Concealer- I honestly hate this as a concealer. I feel like this doesn’t sit on makeup well. It might sit well under makeup but I have not really tried that. Recently I’ve realized that I love this as a light foundation. I’ll draw some lines on my face with this and blend it out with a brush. It honestly makes my skin look really nice. I got this at Walgreens for $8.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone- I’ve already read this book and seen all the movies. Lately, I have been in such a mood to read Harry Potter. I also don’t own any of the books. I decided to reread the series and purchase the books as I read them. I have only read through the 4th book so I hope to actually read through the whole series this time. Also, this cover is a special cover they sell at Barnes and Noble. When all the books are next to each other on the shelf the binding makes a picture.

Drugstore Update!

Drugstore Update!

Two weeks ago I bought a few new products at walgreens and if you want to check that post out you can click here. I have been using these products every single time I do my makeup. So I am going to go through each product and what I thought of it.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Contouring Palette

I really liked this product. I’m super new to contouring so if anything went wrong, it was my fault. Both of the shades are pretty creamy and don’t get cakey at all. The highlighter is actually really good for setting concealer. For the small price this product is totally worth it.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush

This blush is so PINK! The shade I picked was pearlescent pink but I didn’t expect it to actually be so pink when I put it on. The tiniest amount is need for this blush and it stays on all day. I found this to be really blendable, so if I put on a little too much, it turned out ok.

Covergirl Trublend Face Primer

I love this face primer! One of the best things about it is that it’s for combination skin so it really helps to keep my face matte all day. I also found that it works nice as a lip primer. One downside is that it smells like baby wipes but I can look past that.

Covergirl Trublend Fixstick Concealer

This concealer is pretty good and I’ll continue to use it. It smells waxy and feels waxy but it doesn’t feel heavy or gross. I really like this for under my eyes except that it really settles into my lines. It is so blendable, which is so important to me. I think I’m going to try putting a little extra primer under my eyes to see if that helps.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Pencil

Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with this. When I first put it on I was so excited because it goes on so smoothly. After only an hour it had transferred to the top of my lid. So then I tried putting eye primer underneath, and it transferred a little less but still transferred. I can’t figure out how to make it stop. Let me know if I’m doing something wrong?

Also, let me know if you have tried any of these and what you thought of them.

New Drugstore Products

New Drugstore Products

I am the type of person who does not change her routine. I find a product I like and I stick with it. Because I am still new to makeup and trying to use new things, I decided to go buy some new products and try them. All of these products are from Walgreens and all of them are pretty new to the drugstore except the concealer. I have not actually tried the products out yet. This post is just going to tell you about these products and then I will do a follow up post of my reviews.

First two products I got are from Wet n Wild. They have come out with a lot of cool new stuff. I picked up the MegaGlo contouring palette in the shade dulce de leche. I’ve heard good things about this on YouTube. The website just claims to give you blendable, buildable color. The next thing I picked up is the color icon blush in pearlescent pink. I have never tried the color icon blushes before but this says that it’s a new formula. This color might be a bit pink for me but we’re just going to go for it. The website not only claims that this also has blendable, buildable color but it’s also supposed to be long lasting. I got the contouring palette for 4.99 and the blush for 2.99.

The next two products I picked up are from Covergirl. I first picked up the trublend makeup primer for combination skin. They also have this primer for oily and dry skin. The combo skin primer is meant to “have a balancing formula that creates a smooth surface for perfect foundation application.” Just like any primer they claim that this is supposed to make the foundation last longer. Next, I picked up the trublend fixstick concealer in the shade light. The website claims that this will cover up dark circles and imperfections. It also claims to be very blendable. We’ll see if it’s a match for my gnarly dark circles. I got the primer for 9.99 and the concealer for 9.49.

The last product I picked up is the Maybelline eyestudio lasting drama waterproof gel pencil in sleek onyx. Honestly, I’m surprised that I picked this up because I hate having to sharpen eyeliner pencils. Looking online a lot of people have said that it is impossible to sharpen. Also the website claims that this eyeliner should last for 16 hours and is waterproof. I got this for 8.29. So I am going to try out all these products and make a post later with my reviews. Let me know if you have tried any of these out.
