Empties| End Of 2017

Since the year is finally over I’m going to talk about a bunch of products that I used up in the last half of 2017. I made a post in June about all the products that I used up in the first half. If you want to see those you can check it out here. I don’t think that I saved every product that I used up. Sometimes I just throw them away without thinking to save them. It seems like I have a pretty small amount of products this go around. Let’s get into the products!

L. Organic Tampons and Liners

This is a brand that I saw at Target. Apparently feminine products have all kinds of chemicals in them including chlorine, rayon, and fragrances. These tampons and liners are made without all of that. They’re mainly just organic cotton. I have really been enjoying them and they are not any more expensive than the other brands at Target. Also, the packaging is beautiful! I’m a sucker for good packaging. I would totally suggest checking this brand out here.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks

I’ve really fallen in love with these sheet masks. I’m not the biggest fan of sheet masks because they always seem to fall off my face. Garnier’s masks actually stay on and I really did see a difference in my skin right away. I’ve used much more than just this one. These masks are about $2.50 at Target.

Yes To Wipes

I went through plenty of different wipes this year and for some reason, I only saved these two. There really isn’t much to say about makeup wipes. These ones were great and I love this brand. I think you can get this brand pretty much anywhere. The smell of the primrose oil wipes was extremely nice.

Aveeno Conditoner

I’ve never seen Aveeno conditioners before but their lotion is really nice. The pure renewal conditioner was ok. Personally, it didn’t do much for my hair. Of course, everyone’s hair is different so this might work nicely for someone else. This is about $6 at Target.

Mascaras

The colossal big shot mascara was kind of a disappointment for me. I heard a lot of people talk about it so I thought it would be nice. It just didn’t do anything for my lashes. I would not buy again.

It cosmetic’s superhero mascara was pretty nice. It definitely gave my lashes length. This was a nice mascara. However, I think there are plenty of cheaper mascaras that do the same thing. One example is the one I’m going to talk about next.

Rimmel Londons scandal eyes retro glam mascara has become a staple mascara for me. I did buy this again and am very happy about it. This gives me both length and a little extra volume. I bought this mascara for around $4 at Ulta, but I’m looking on their website and I can’t find it now. They also sell it at Target and Walmart.

Boscia Detoxifying Cleanser

I’m glad that I only bought the small size of this. The cleanser did nothing for my skin and actually started to make me break out a little bit. It smells good and has a warming sensation. My friend who has drier skin than me tried it as well and didn’t like it either. I would not recommend.

ULTA Demi-Matte Foundation

Nobody ever talks about Ulta’s brand and it’s a little disappointing. Ulta really does have some nice products in their collection. This foundation is one of them. It’s very light coverage kind of like a BB cream. I do want to pick this up again.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Detox Scrub

This ended up being one of my favorite products of 2017. This smells so nice and makes my skin feel so good! It’s also made with pretty good ingredients. I would really recommend checking this out!

Let’s Talk Resolutions

Let’s Talk Resolutions

Hello everybody! 2017 has come and gone but 2018 is here! 2017 for me was an overall great year. I had some rough times like a break-up and a rough semester. However, the good times greatly outweigh the bad times. I had so many great experiences this year. I saw the grand canyon for the first time which was unexpectedly amazing! My hamster, Zoidy, came into my life. Honestly never knew that I could love a hamster so much. I also recently graduated from college! Graduating college is probably one of the greatest moments of my life. I’m excited about what 2018 has to hold and I hope it’s a great year.

Since it’s the beginning of the year everyone is making resolutions. It’s a brand new year and feels like a fresh start. I personally am not really a fan of resolutions. I feel like I never actually stick to them. This year I decided not to set any new resolutions. In 2018 I’m going to just continue my current goals that I have been striving for. I’m going to list below some of the goals that I have been working towards. I think it is really important to not only set goals but make specific plans to achieve those goals. Let me know some of your guy’s goals or resolutions for 2018. Let’s have a great year!

My Current Goals

  • striving towards a healthier body
  • reading a couple times a week
  • organizing and staying organized
  • spending less unnecessary money

Gray (or grey?) Lace Up Shirt- I have been wanting a shirt like this because I really like this trend. All the shirts I kept finding went really low in the bust area. I wanted a shirt in this style that didn’t show a lot of cleavage. This shirt is perfect. I found this at Kohls for around $10. I have been loving this on me. By the way, how do you guys spell gray or grey?

Green Fuzzy Shorts- My mom got me a pajama set for Christmas. It came with a shirt, a long pair of pants, and these shorts. I was thrown off by the fabric of the shorts because they’re fuzzy. I love them! They are so comfy. I’m not quite sure where my mom got these shorts.

Essence Soo Glow Highlighter- This a cream to powder highlighter which is pretty cool. This is in the shade bright up your life, which is a light pink shade. These apply really nicely and I did end up buying the other shade. A review will be coming on those soon. You can check these out on target’s website.

Covergirl truBlend Fixstick Concealer- I honestly hate this as a concealer. I feel like this doesn’t sit on makeup well. It might sit well under makeup but I have not really tried that. Recently I’ve realized that I love this as a light foundation. I’ll draw some lines on my face with this and blend it out with a brush. It honestly makes my skin look really nice. I got this at Walgreens for $8.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone- I’ve already read this book and seen all the movies. Lately, I have been in such a mood to read Harry Potter. I also don’t own any of the books. I decided to reread the series and purchase the books as I read them. I have only read through the 4th book so I hope to actually read through the whole series this time. Also, this cover is a special cover they sell at Barnes and Noble. When all the books are next to each other on the shelf the binding makes a picture.
