Hello, everybody! I hope you had a wonderful month. I’ve had a great time not going to school and transitioning into full-time work. I have tried a lot of new things this month and I want to share a few of the things that I am obsessed with!

20170603_114651

Sunglasses- I have no idea what brand these sunglasses are. I found them at Ross for $4 and I instantly fell in love. I feel so fierce when I wear them.

Target wallet- I have been needing a new wallet for the longest time. My previous wallet was so bulky. This is nice because it has a wrist strap so I don’t have to take my purse. My phone can even fit inside and I can clip my keys onto it. I got this for around $15.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation- I have not tried anything in the fit me range before. I got the dewy and smooth finish because I have been very into that dewy look recently. I have combination skin and this does not make my face oily at all. This looks so nice on the skin and I don’t even feel the need to set it. The foundation still looks good at the end of the day. I bought this at Target in the shade Ivory for $6.

Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Conditioner- My main shampoo and conditioner for my hair is the Yes to Tea Tree and Sage Oil for my dry scalp. I don’t like to use that conditioner throughout my hair because it can dry out my hair. So I use the tea tree one on my scalp and this one throughout the rest of my hair. This makes my hair shiny and soft. My hair is very damaged and I have been loving this! I got this at Target for $5.

Pacifica Cactus Water Makeup Wipes- I’ve recently got into using makeup wipes again so I’ve been trying all different kinds. These smell so good and are very soft! I also got these at Target for $6. (Can you tell I love Target?)

My heated blanket- This is the background that everything is laying on. I was walking through Target and saw that the heated blankets were 50% off. I’ve been wanting one because I love to be extremely warm. I sleep with 3 blankets on me every night. This has been one of the best purchase decisions I have ever made. I love it so much! I’ve been sleeping with it on and I have been sleeping so good. I would recommend going to your Target and seeing if they have heated blankets on sale.

Ello water bottle- I am the worst at drinking water so I figured if I got a cute water bottle then I would be more excited to drink water. This is actually working. This also came with a mixer ball so it can be used for protein shakes. The bottle is also glass which is so much better than plastic. I got this for $15 at Target

Checkered robe- A robe is something that I’ve also been wanting. This was on the sale rack at Target. (Are you starting to see a trend here?) I picked it up and it is so warm. I sit in it for embarrassingly too long.

Naturebox snacks- YouTubers use to always talk about naturebox when it was a subscription service. Now you just buy the snacks individually. They sell some of the snacks in Target and I’ve been trying to snack healthier. The big island pineapple is some of the best dried pineapple I’ve ever had. To be honest the selection isn’t the best at Target and I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to buy them online.

Loreal infallible foundation sponge- I love this sponge more than I love my real techniques sponge. It is so much softer. When I read reviews a lot of people said it was the closest to a beauty blender they could find. I have not tried the actual beauty blender but I hope to compare these two soon. This was $7 at Target.

Favorite Song- Shape of You by Ed Sheeran

What I’ve been watching- Shane Dawson’s creepy videos playlist

So I guess you could say that Target was also a favorite of mine because I purchased all of these things at Target. Let me know what you guys loved this month and what you’re looking forward to in March. Have a great week!

Gray (or grey?) Lace Up Shirt- I have been wanting a shirt like this because I really like this trend. All the shirts I kept finding went really low in the bust area. I wanted a shirt in this style that didn’t show a lot of cleavage. This shirt is perfect. I found this at Kohls for around $10. I have been loving this on me. By the way, how do you guys spell gray or grey?

Green Fuzzy Shorts- My mom got me a pajama set for Christmas. It came with a shirt, a long pair of pants, and these shorts. I was thrown off by the fabric of the shorts because they’re fuzzy. I love them! They are so comfy. I’m not quite sure where my mom got these shorts.

Essence Soo Glow Highlighter- This a cream to powder highlighter which is pretty cool. This is in the shade bright up your life, which is a light pink shade. These apply really nicely and I did end up buying the other shade. A review will be coming on those soon. You can check these out on target’s website.

Covergirl truBlend Fixstick Concealer- I honestly hate this as a concealer. I feel like this doesn’t sit on makeup well. It might sit well under makeup but I have not really tried that. Recently I’ve realized that I love this as a light foundation. I’ll draw some lines on my face with this and blend it out with a brush. It honestly makes my skin look really nice. I got this at Walgreens for $8.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone- I’ve already read this book and seen all the movies. Lately, I have been in such a mood to read Harry Potter. I also don’t own any of the books. I decided to reread the series and purchase the books as I read them. I have only read through the 4th book so I hope to actually read through the whole series this time. Also, this cover is a special cover they sell at Barnes and Noble. When all the books are next to each other on the shelf the binding makes a picture.

Favorite Show- Series of Unfortunate Events

Favorite Song- Weekend by Louis the Child and Icona Pop

Blackmail Lip Swatches

Blackmail Lip Swatches

This past Christmas I bought the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick palette in blackmail. They also have a palette called Junkie, and I hope to purchase that one also. I recently posted a review of this palette which you can check out here. I decided that I wanted to do a post showing the lipsticks on my actual lips. I love this palette so much. I use this all the time and I’m honestly afraid of actually running out. The bottom row, with the nudes, are my favorite shades in this palette. I apologize for some of the picture quality and the last swatch looks really bad. Let me know which color you love the best!

Empties| End of 2016

Empties| End of 2016

20170114_155315

This is a very late post, but I forgot that I had these products hidden away. I do not really go through a lot of products, but here’s what I went through in the last half of 2016.

Neutrogena body clear body wash- Let’s be honest we all get body acne from time to time. It happens to be a problem I deal with and I feel like this worked very well for that.

  • Would I rebuy? Already have

Pantene 3 minute miracle conditioner- This is supposed to be like a daily hair mask for your hair. Honestly, I didn’t really notice a difference from normal conditioner.

  • Would I rebuy? no

Revlon colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin- I really liked this foundation. The shade was good for me and it sat nicely on my skin. I also happen to enjoy that there is SPF in this.

  • Would I rebuy? Yes, I want to go repurchase this.

Suave Keratin dry shampoo- I did not like this dry shampoo. It really didn’t feel like it did anything for my hair.

  • Would I rebuy? no

Briogeo Don’t Despair, repair hair mask- I received this in an ipsy bag, so this is a sample. Honestly, I don’t feel like I used this enough to form an actual opinion on it. I watch a person on YouTube who raves about this.

  • Would I rebuy? sure

Essence say no to dark circle- This is the very first color corrector that I have tried. I think it works ok. I want to try other color correctors but this one is only $3.

  • Would I rebuy? already have

Pure Brazilian miracle leave-in conditioner- I really liked this on my hair! I love spray this on my ends to help with frizziness. I want to try other leave-in conditioners to see what else I like.

  • Would I rebuy? Yes!

Urban Decay perversion mascara- This was another product I received in an Ipsy bag. I love receiving sample mascaras because It gives me the chance to try them. This mascara didn’t really have anything special to me. It just seemed like a normal mascara.

  • Would I rebuy? no

Covergirl supersizer mascara- Honestly, I only bought this because it had star wars packaging. I was really surprised by the wand the first time I used it. It was a decent mascara and surprised me.

  • Would I rebuy? Probably, but I want to try different ones.

The end of 2016 is here! This year has been a such an amazing year. In 2016 I started to get serious about my blog, started my senior year of college and also started dating my boyfriend. I also had some great opportunities such as a new position at work and an internship with John McCain. I am so grateful for everything that has happened this year and can’t wait for what 2017 holds. Thank you for sticking by me as I figure out this thing called blogging. Now on to my favorite things from this month. Let me know your favorite things from this month.

E.L.F HD powder in soft luminance- I have been wanting to try this setting powder for the longest time. When I went to Target they were out of the translucent one. So I went to the NYX section to get theirs. Target was out of that powder also. I decided to just get the powder in soft luminance. There is some sparkle in it but not very noticeable. So far I’m enjoying this. This is my first true setting powder that I am using. At Target it was $6 but I can’t seem to find it on their website.

NYX HD blush in bitten- Honestly, I bought this because I saw the YouTuber Kathleenlights talk about this shade. This shade is so pretty, though! I love the way it looks on my skin. It does last a long time but not all day. It’s almost a sort of brick red color. I got it at Ulta for $7.

Urban Decay Vice lipstick Palette- This is an amazing lipstick palette that I totally recommend buying. If you want to know my full opinion on it, you can check out my last post. I got it at Ulta for $25, because of a sale, but it’s normally $35.

What I’m reading- I have been in such a mood to read Harry Potter. I also don’t own my own copies of the books. I decided to get the special covers that Barnes and Noble sells. When all the books are next to each other on the shelf the binding shows a picture.

What I’m watching- I am a YouTube addict and I have been loving a vlogger called Sarah’s Day. She talks about being healthy and shows her workouts. Her channel motivates me so much and has actually helped me make the decision to go on a Paleo diet. I would recommend checking her out.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette

I don’t know about you guys, but I love lipstick! I also love the idea of a lipstick palette. You get a bunch of different colors at a pretty good price. I never actually make it through a whole lipstick so I like the idea of having a little bit of each color. Urban Decay came out with their vice lipstick palettes which have select colors from their vice line. There are two options for the palette which are junkie and blackmail. Junkie has some common colors such as reds and nudes. Then the last few colors are bold colors such as a light lavender and a metallic green. Blackmail has more tame colors such as the top row being pinks and reds. The bottom row is mostly nudes ending with a deep purple. At first, I loved the sound of the Junkie palette because of the fun colors. Ultimately, I decided to get blackmail because I wanted some more everyday colors in my collection. Eventually, I will obtain junkie as well. The blackmail palette can be found at Ulta for $35. Each color is 0.02 ounces, so all together you get 0.24 ounces. Once vice lipstick is 0.11 ounces at $17. So with the palette, you get a little more than two lipsticks for about the same price, but you get more color options.

The packaging looks very nice but is very fingerprint prone. As I said above the top row is all pinks and reds. and the bottom is mainly nudes. I’ll show you swatches of each row and then describe them the same on Ulta’s website.

These are swatched in the same order as the appear in the palette.

Sheer Shame- “Sheer berry” This doesn’t look as pigmented in the picture as it does in real life.

Firebird- “Cream deep fuchsia”

Big Bang- “MetallizedBright Pink sparkle” I didn’t think that I would like this one but it’s great for every day.

Disobedient- “Cream Medium Pink” This reminds me of Legally Blonde.

EZ- “Cream bright red-orange”

714- “Mega Matte bright red” Definitely amazing, definitely drying

20161227_130944

Vanished- “Sheer pale neutral nude”

1993- “Comfort matte medium brown” This is one of my favorite colors in the whole palette.

Ex-girlfriend- “sheer shimmer nude-rose with pink shimmer” This is one of those “my lips but better” kind of shades. That’s just with my lips, though.

Amulet- “metallized brick rose”

Conspiracy- “metallizes plum-bronze shimmer” This one tricked me. I did not think I was going to like this because it looks gold in the pan. Once swatched you can really see the plum in it.

Blackmail-“comfort matte deep berry wine” I love this color so much! It looks so pretty.

My final thoughts on this palette are that it is amazing. The colors are very pigmented and have great wear time. The matte colors last longer than the sheer shades. I totally recommend buying this. Let me know if you have tried this and which shade is your favorite.
