Hello, Everybody! I hope your week was amazing. I have recently started to drink more water because I know that I do not drink enough. For the past month or so I have started drinking a mixture of things in my water. My mixture is a spoonful of agave, a spoonful of apple cider vinegar, and 15 drops of chlorophyll concentrate. Once a day I drink this all mixed into a glass of water. It surprisingly tastes really good. It’s really sweet and the chlorophyll I bought has a peppermint taste to it. The agave is mostly in there just to sweeten it up a little. I also prefer agave over honey and the agave has a lower glycemic index. However, honey has a little more health benefits than agave. So if you would prefer the other benefits then I would say go with honey but I’m just gonna stick with my agave. Now the other two ingredients I actually use for the health benefits and I’ll get into each one.

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

  • antibacterial
  • lowers blood sugar
  • helps you feel full (especially helpful if you drink before each meal)
  • lowers cholesterol
  • reduces risk of heart disease
  • balances pH

Benefits of Chlorophyll

  • skin benefits
  • supposedly helps with detoxification (I’m a little wary of things claiming to be “detoxifying”)
  • improves digestion

I totally suggest trying this mixture. I have noticed a difference in my skin and my bloating with this mixture. To be honest it also just tastes really good. Let me know if you guys have any specific health mixture you like to drink.

Fit Friday | Healthy Eating

Oh my heavens, I love candy and soda so much. This is going to be the biggest change in my life. Drinking a lot more water is my biggest goal and starting next payday I will be eating a lot less meat. I’m not going vegetarian but I only plan on eating meat once or twice a week. Personally, I don’t believe that eating meat is all that bad but too much of it isn’t a good thing either. Several people have told me that being a vegetarian helps stabilize their mood and makes them less tired. It’s going to be a bit of an experiment and definitely a challenge. Next payday I’m going to go to sam’s club and get a bunch of food for my new challenge. I’ve been researching┬áhow I’m going to get enough protein and I think my best bet will be beans and lots of greens. One of the most challenging things is going the be cutting out so much artificial sugar also. I need to drink a lot less soda and eat a lot less candy. Pasta is another thing I’m going to need to cut back on because it’s my go-to when it comes to food. If you guys have any tips for me let me know. Also, if you have any vegetarian recipes, I would love to build up my library. I’m going to need all the advice that I can get.

First Fit Friday

Hello, lovely people! I have recently made the promise to myself to be a healthier person. I want to be more fit and just feel all around healthier. I recently took my first step in my fitness journey which is a gym membership. Planet Fitness was doing a special last month for $1 starting fees and normally it is a lot more money. Then after that, it’s only $10 a month! The whole point of Planet Fitness is that it’s a judgement-free zone which is so great for me. I always feel like I’m being judged at the gym even though I’m probably not. I’m not working with a personal trainer or anything like that. I literally just go on pinterest and type in a workout for what ever body part I want to work out. Pinterest is an amazing thing which I use every day. I love going to the gym. It’s something that I can do everyday that is my “me” time. I go there, listen to a podcast, and just focus on myself. If you want to get healthy too, you don’t need a gym membership. I just got a gym membership because the gyms on campus are filled with the guys who grunt and throw weights around. Planet fitness is a way better environment. Exercising can totally be done at home too. Gyms aren’t an essential but they are very nice. Let me know what your favorite workouts are so that I can give them a try. I’ll post below the workout plan I’m following on pinterest right now.
