Book Review: Adultolescence

Book Review: Adultolescence

Wow! It has been so long since I’ve posted on this blog. I really had to focus on school this semester so I decided that needed to come first. The good thing is that I have a lot of posts that I can do because they’ve kind of been building up. I hope you all have had a great past couple of months, and I hope that I can start posting more consistently again.

I recently finished a book called Adultolescence. This is a very different book for me to read because it is a poetry book. Adultolescence was written by Gabbie Hanna. If you watch YouTube or Vines then you might be familiar with the name TheGabbieShow. Her real name is Gabbie Hanna, which I think is a beautiful name. I’m not one to really gravitate towards poetry books but I love her so much that I thought I would give it a try. This book really changed my mind about poetry books and I want to get more now. Her poems are all about being that period in life where you’re transitioning from kid to adult. I really like that idea because I kind of feel like that is the part of my life that I’m in. While reading these poems I feel like I could really relate to some of them. Reading this book has made me want to try other poetry books. I know there are some really popular ones right now and maybe I’ll try those next. Unfortunately, I don’t really know what else to say about a poetry book but I think everyone should check this out. The cover is really pretty as well. I got this book at Barnes and Noble for about $17.
